Councillor Pam Lovelace has been a member of the Halifax Regional Municipality's (HRM) Council since 2020, following a twenty-year career in communications and project management. She was appointed by Council as Deputy Mayor of HRM in her second year for a one year term, 2021-2022.

After graduating from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and Certificate in Business Administration, Pam worked for a decade with CBC Maritimes in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick producing television and online programming. She has also worked in various communications and project management roles with federal, provincial, and municipal governments.

In 2018, Pam completed a master’s degree in adult education, worked for Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Health and has also worked as an adjunct professor at Mount Saint Vincent University. In 2020, she was awarded national certification in Agile Project Management. Since 2023, Pam advises and teaches with Dalhousie University’s Local Government Program.
